Visiting and fittings in Phuket
Which parts of Phuket do you visit for hotel and private villa fittings?
Accommodation fittings may be arranged across Phuket, including Kata, Karon, Patong, Bang Tao, Choeng Thale and Laguna, Kamala, Surin, Rawai, Nai Harn, Chalong, Kathu and Mai Khao. Availability depends on the location, property access, notice, garments, number of people and fitting schedule. Send the accommodation name and area, your Phuket dates and what you would like made. Kenny and Gita will bring suitable fabric swatches and confirm whether an accommodation visit or the Kata showroom is the better setting for your order.
See how accommodation fittings workWhat happens if my travel plans change or I have an earlier flight?
Tell the team as soon as your dates change. Kenny and Gita will reassess the fitting plan around the garment, the work remaining and current workshop capacity. A later fitting at another Phuket hotel or villa may be considered when the location, access and schedule allow it. Any revised fitting or delivery plan must be confirmed directly.
Understand the fitting sequenceWhere is your only Phuket shop?
The only Kenny and Gita Tailor storefront is at 98/49-50 Kata Rd, Karon, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83100, Thailand. Patong and other Phuket areas are service areas, not additional branches.
Plan a Kata visitFabrics, garments and personal fit
Can you tailor a lightweight suit for a Phuket beach wedding?
Yes. The cloth should suit the setting as well as the ceremony. Kenny and Gita can guide you through high-quality linen, tropical and other warm-weather fabrics, then consider colour, construction, comfort and drape around the venue, dress code and time outdoors. Some colours or fabric types may need to be ordered and usually take one to two days to arrive at the shop before crafting begins. Share your wedding date and Phuket arrival dates early so there is room for the usual fitting sequence.
Plan wedding tailoring in PhuketCan you use a favourite suit, shirt or dress as a fit reference?
Yes. Bring the garment to the Kata showroom or have it available during a confirmed accommodation appointment. It gives Kenny and Gita a useful reference for the fit, proportions and character you already enjoy. They can then discuss what should be retained, what you would like adjusted and which fabric is suitable for the new garment.
Explore the tailoring processDo you tailor for women, athletic builds and a wide range of body shapes?
Yes. Gita personally oversees women's consultations, measurements and tailoring requirements for suits, blazers, blouses, trousers, skirts and dresses. The consultation begins with the garment and the person wearing it. Measurements are considered alongside movement, proportion, comfort and personal preference, without assuming one body shape or way of dressing.
Explore women's tailoringWhat is the difference between custom and bespoke tailoring?
Custom tailoring is the wider service, with garments made to the client's measurements and choices through personal consultation and fittings. Bespoke is an optional specialist service involving an individual pattern drafted from scratch for a selected garment.
Compare custom and bespokeIs every garment made inside the Kata shop?
Kenny and Gita guide consultations, fabric and style choices, measurements, fittings and final reviews at the storefront and during confirmed visits. An experienced Phuket tailoring team supports pattern development, cutting, construction and finishing through a dedicated local partner workshop.
Meet Kenny and GitaTiming and alterations
Can a custom suit be made in 24 hours?
A 24-hour suit is not the standard timeline Kenny and Gita recommend. Approximately three to five days for regular custom garments, usually with one or two fittings. Allow at least seven days in Phuket where possible. That time allows the team to review balance, comfort and drape before the final garment is collected or delivered. Express requests can be discussed, but availability depends on the garment, construction, order size, fitting needs and workshop capacity.
See how the fitting process worksHow quickly can you alter clothing during my holiday?
Most accepted alterations are completed within 24 to 48 hours. Bring the garment to the Kata shop so the team can inspect its construction, condition and available seam allowance before confirming feasibility, fittings, price and the completion time. If your departure is close, include the date in your enquiry so the team can assess what the current schedule can support.
See how alterations are assessedHow many fittings should I expect?
Most custom garments involve one or two fittings. The exact sequence depends on the garment, fit and time available. Sharing your arrival and departure dates before the first consultation helps Kenny and Gita plan the useful fitting points around your stay.
Review the fitting stagesOrders, payments and returning home
Do you use street promoters, and do I need to pay during my first visit?
Kenny and Gita Tailor does not employ street promoters. You deal directly with Kenny and Gita at their only Kata storefront or through a confirmed accommodation appointment. There is no payment simply to discuss a garment, review fabrics or receive styling guidance. When you decide to place an order, either a 50% deposit or payment of the full order value confirms it. Any remaining balance is due before collection or delivery.
Learn about the founder-led serviceWhich payment methods do you accept?
Kenny and Gita Tailor accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, bank transfer, Thai QR payment and cash. The payment schedule is confirmed with the quotation before production begins, and any remaining balance is due before collection or delivery.
Review starting pricesCan I reorder after returning home?
Existing clients may ask Kenny and Gita to review a new garment using their previous order history and stored measurement records. They will first confirm that useful records are available and ask whether your measurements, posture, preferences or intended use have changed. Fabric, design, price, payment and fulfilment are agreed for each new order. An in-person fitting may still be recommended, and selected international shipping is quoted individually.
See how remote reorders are assessedHow should I take my tailored garments home?
Completed garments are professionally steamed and pressed, then packed in a protective zip-up garment bag unless you prefer not to receive one. Kenny and Gita can advise whether carrying the bag or packing it flat is more practical for your journey, and how to settle the garments after travel. If collection no longer suits your plans, ask whether Phuket delivery or selected international shipping can be arranged and quoted for the order.
Plan your fitting and collectionWhat changes the final tailoring price?
Starting prices in THB. Final quotes depend on fabric, construction, customization, urgency and order requirements.
